V\u011bt\u0161ina teologick\u00fdch syst\u00e9m\u016f neza\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 radik\u00e1ln\u00ed otev\u0159enost\u00ed. Za\u010d\u00ednaj\u00ed zd\u011bd\u011bn\u00fdmi p\u0159edpoklady o tom, co je ji\u017e pova\u017eov\u00e1no za posv\u00e1tn\u00e9, autoritativn\u00ed nebo kone\u010dn\u011b pravdiv\u00e9, a pot\u00e9 vytv\u00e1\u0159ej\u00ed intelektu\u00e1ln\u00ed r\u00e1mce navr\u017een\u00e9 tak, aby tyto p\u0159edpoklady ospravedlnily a chr\u00e1nily.<\/p>\n<p>Proto teologick\u00e9 zkoum\u00e1n\u00ed nap\u0159\u00ed\u010d tradicemi tak z\u0159\u00eddka vede ke shod\u011b. \u017d\u00e1dn\u00fd \u017eidovsk\u00fd rab\u00edn nedojde k z\u00e1v\u011bru, \u017ee Hopiov\u00e9 jsou Bohem vyvolen\u00fd n\u00e1rod. \u017d\u00e1dn\u00fd evangelik\u00e1ln\u00ed pastor n\u00e1hle neobjev\u00ed, \u017ee Kristem je sp\u00ed\u0161e Kri\u0161na ne\u017e Je\u017e\u00ed\u0161. \u017d\u00e1dn\u00fd katolick\u00fd teolog nedojde k z\u00e1v\u011bru, \u017ee hinduistick\u00e9 pojet\u00ed Brahmy, Vi\u0161nua a \u0160ivy p\u0159edstavuje nej\u00fapln\u011bj\u0161\u00ed zjeven\u00ed nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00ed reality. \u017d\u00e1dn\u00fd muslimsk\u00fd im\u00e1m ve\u0159ejn\u011b neuzn\u00e1 Bah\u00e1\u2019u\u2019ll\u00e1ha jako proroka All\u00e1ha. Tyto v\u00fdsledky jsou struktur\u00e1ln\u011b nemo\u017en\u00e9, proto\u017ee samotn\u00fd teologick\u00fd podnik je omezen institucion\u00e1ln\u00edmi, doktrin\u00e1ln\u00edmi a identitu chr\u00e1n\u00edc\u00edmi hranicemi je\u0161t\u011b d\u00e1vno p\u0159edt\u00edm, ne\u017e v\u016fbec za\u010dne samotn\u00e9 zkoum\u00e1n\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Teologie je proto \u010dasto m\u00e9n\u011b zkoum\u00e1n\u00edm a v\u00edce formou apologetiky: systematick\u00e9ho vysv\u011btlov\u00e1n\u00ed a obhajoby toho, pro\u010d je spr\u00e1vn\u00fd pr\u00e1v\u011b zd\u011bd\u011bn\u00fd nebo p\u0159ijat\u00fd r\u00e1mec dan\u00e9ho \u010dlov\u011bka. Jej\u00ed uva\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed se st\u00e1v\u00e1 kruhov\u00fdm, proto\u017ee z\u00e1v\u011br je ji\u017e obsa\u017een v premise. Posv\u00e1tn\u00e9 texty jsou pova\u017eov\u00e1ny za autoritativn\u00ed proto, \u017ee tradice \u0159\u00edk\u00e1, \u017ee autoritativn\u00ed jsou, a tradice je potvrzov\u00e1na interpretacemi pr\u00e1v\u011b t\u011bch text\u016f, jejich\u017e autorita byla p\u0159edpokl\u00e1d\u00e1na od sam\u00e9ho za\u010d\u00e1tku. Ka\u017ed\u00fd n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fd syst\u00e9m si vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed mechanismy sebe-potvrzen\u00ed. Nen\u00ed p\u0159ekvapiv\u00e9, \u017ee teologick\u00e9 uva\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 v\u017edy \u201edok\u00e1\u017ee\u201c pravdivost syst\u00e9mu, v n\u011bm\u017e teolog ji\u017e \u017eije.<\/p>\n<p>To je jeden z d\u016fvod\u016f, pro\u010d by se k n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 jistot\u011b m\u011blo p\u0159istupovat opatrn\u011b. \u010clov\u011bk narozen\u00fd na venkov\u011b v P\u00e1kist\u00e1nu bude statisticky pravd\u011bpodobn\u011b obhajovat isl\u00e1m s obrovsk\u00fdm p\u0159esv\u011bd\u010den\u00edm. \u010clov\u011bk narozen\u00fd na venkov\u011b v Alabam\u011b bude s obdobnou jistotou obhajovat k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed. \u010clov\u011bk narozen\u00fd v severn\u00ed Indii m\u016f\u017ee v\u00e1\u0161niv\u011b obhajovat hinduistickou metafyziku. Geografie, kultura, rodinn\u00e9 syst\u00e9my, institucion\u00e1ln\u00ed posilov\u00e1n\u00ed a utv\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed identity formuj\u00ed v\u00edru d\u00e1vno p\u0159edt\u00edm, ne\u017e do rozhovoru vstoup\u00ed racion\u00e1ln\u00ed anal\u00fdza. Velk\u00e1 \u010d\u00e1st toho, co lid\u00e9 pro\u017e\u00edvaj\u00ed jako absolutn\u00ed teologickou jistotu, je hluboce propletena se soci\u00e1ln\u00edm podmi\u0148ov\u00e1n\u00edm, pot\u0159ebou soun\u00e1le\u017eitosti, strukturami strachu a zd\u011bd\u011bnou identitou.<\/p>\n<p>Moje vlastn\u00ed studium teologie (Master of Divinity) bylo do zna\u010dn\u00e9 m\u00edry vystav\u011bno pr\u00e1v\u011b kolem t\u00e9to reality, i kdy\u017e to bylo z\u0159\u00eddka p\u0159\u00edmo p\u0159izn\u00e1no. C\u00edlem nebylo p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm otev\u0159en\u011b zkoumat, zda je k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed pravdiv\u00e9. C\u00edlem bylo st\u00e1t se intelektu\u00e1ln\u011b l\u00e9pe vybaven\u00fdm k obran\u011b, vysv\u011btlov\u00e1n\u00ed, systematizaci a \u0161\u00ed\u0159en\u00ed p\u0159edem stanoven\u00e9ho teologick\u00e9ho r\u00e1mce. N\u011bkter\u00e9 z\u00e1v\u011bry nikdy nebyly skute\u010dn\u011b dostupn\u00e9 jako re\u00e1ln\u00e9 mo\u017enosti. Hranice p\u0159ijateln\u00e9ho my\u0161len\u00ed byly ji\u017e institucion\u00e1ln\u011b ur\u010deny.<\/p>\n<p>To vytv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed hlubok\u00e1 omezen\u00ed pro lidsk\u00e9 hled\u00e1n\u00ed smyslu. Kdy\u017e se n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 syst\u00e9my p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 upnou na jistotu, autoritu a zachov\u00e1n\u00ed doktr\u00edny, mohou u\u010dinit skute\u010dn\u011b svobodn\u00e9 zkoum\u00e1n\u00ed psychologicky obt\u00ed\u017en\u00fdm. Lid\u00e9 se \u010dasto nau\u010d\u00ed potla\u010dovat ot\u00e1zky, kter\u00e9 ohro\u017euj\u00ed syst\u00e9m chr\u00e1n\u00edc\u00ed jejich identitu, komunitu nebo existenci\u00e1ln\u00ed bezpe\u010d\u00ed. Zkoum\u00e1n\u00ed se st\u00e1v\u00e1 nebezpe\u010dn\u00fdm. Pochybnost je moralizov\u00e1na. Zv\u011bdavost je vykreslov\u00e1na jako vzpoura. V\u00fdsledkem pak \u010dasto nen\u00ed duchovn\u00ed zralost, ale z\u00e1vislost na autorizovan\u00fdch vyklada\u010d\u00edch a zd\u011bd\u011bn\u00fdch narativech.<\/p>\n<p>A p\u0159esto lidstvo disponuje mimo\u0159\u00e1dn\u00fdm kolektivn\u00edm d\u011bdictv\u00edm duchovn\u00edho pozn\u00e1n\u00ed rozprost\u0159en\u00e9ho nap\u0159\u00ed\u010d kulturami, filozofiemi, n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00edmi, kontemplativn\u00edmi tradicemi, mytologiemi a existenci\u00e1ln\u00ed reflex\u00ed. Nam\u00edsto toho, aby se civilizace u\u010dily z tohoto obrovsk\u00e9ho rezervo\u00e1ru lidsk\u00e9ho hled\u00e1n\u00ed smyslu, \u010dasto sv\u00e9 tradice obracely proti sob\u011b navz\u00e1jem jako zbra\u0148. N\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00ed, kter\u00e1 mohla p\u0159isp\u011bt moudrost\u00ed, soucitem, mor\u00e1ln\u00ed p\u0159edstavivost\u00ed a existenci\u00e1ln\u00edm vhledem, se m\u00edsto toho stala mechanismy tribalismu, nad\u0159azenosti, vylu\u010dov\u00e1n\u00ed, dominance a konfliktu.<\/p>\n<p>Psychologicky zral\u00e1 spiritualita vy\u017eaduje schopnost dr\u017eet svou tradici z\u00e1rove\u0148 s ocen\u011bn\u00edm i kritickou up\u0159\u00edmnost\u00ed. Nejzdrav\u011bj\u0161\u00ed n\u00e1bo\u017een\u0161t\u00ed a duchovn\u00ed v\u016fdci nejsou ti, kte\u0159\u00ed slep\u011b obhajuj\u00ed ka\u017ed\u00fd aspekt sv\u00e9ho syst\u00e9mu, ale ti, kte\u0159\u00ed jsou ochotni zachovat to, co prohlubuje lidsk\u00fd rozkv\u011bt, a z\u00e1rove\u0148 \u010delit tomu, co jej deformuje. Moudrost vy\u017eaduje rozli\u0161ov\u00e1n\u00ed, nikoliv loajalitu k ideologii.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00e1m Je\u017e\u00ed\u0161 tento rozpor zt\u011bles\u0148oval. Vze\u0161el z judaismu, potvrdil mnoho z jeho etick\u00e9 a duchovn\u00ed vize a z\u00e1rove\u0148 \u010delil tomu, co ve sv\u00e9 vlastn\u00ed tradici vn\u00edmal jako pokrytectv\u00ed, legalismus, dominanci, vylu\u010dov\u00e1n\u00ed a n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 zneu\u017e\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed. Zpochyb\u0148oval pou\u017e\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00ed jako mechanismu moci nam\u00edsto osvobozen\u00ed. V mnoha ohledech nebyly nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed duchovn\u00ed osobnosti d\u011bjin institucion\u00e1ln\u00edmi loajalisty, ale vnit\u0159n\u00edmi kritiky ochotn\u00fdmi postavit se stinn\u00e9 str\u00e1nce vlastn\u00edch syst\u00e9m\u016f.<\/p>\n<p>Nebezpe\u010d\u00ed vznik\u00e1 ve chv\u00edli, kdy je jak\u00fdkoliv text, doktr\u00edna, instituce nebo teologick\u00fd syst\u00e9m absolutizov\u00e1n jako v\u00fdlu\u010dn\u00fd nositel pravdy. Kdy\u017e je Bible ch\u00e1p\u00e1na nikoliv jako hlubok\u00e1 lidsko-duchovn\u00ed knihovna, ale jako jedin\u00e1 a kone\u010dn\u00e1 autorita o nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00ed realit\u011b, zv\u011bdavost se zu\u017euje. Ostatn\u00ed zdroje moudrosti se st\u00e1vaj\u00ed hrozbou. Antropologie, psychologie, filozofie, religionistika, neurov\u011bda, kosmologie, literatura, kontemplativn\u00ed praxe i samotn\u00e1 lidsk\u00e1 zku\u0161enost jsou pod\u0159izov\u00e1ny doktrin\u00e1ln\u00ed konformit\u011b. Hled\u00e1n\u00ed pravdy je omezeno pot\u0159ebou chr\u00e1nit zd\u011bd\u011bnou jistotu.<\/p>\n<p>Je\u0161t\u011b v\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed je, \u017ee kdy\u017e se osobn\u00ed identita a existenci\u00e1ln\u00ed bezpe\u010d\u00ed spoj\u00ed s posv\u00e1tn\u00fdm syst\u00e9mem, nesouhlas m\u016f\u017ee za\u010d\u00edt p\u016fsobit jako existenci\u00e1ln\u00ed hrozba. Zde se teologie m\u016f\u017ee st\u00e1t psychologicky nebezpe\u010dnou. Lid\u00e9 zcela ukotven\u00ed v exkluzivn\u00edch n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch identit\u00e1ch \u010dasto obt\u00ed\u017en\u011b \u010del\u00ed odli\u0161nosti bez strachu, obrannosti nebo nep\u0159\u00e1telstv\u00ed. Ti druz\u00ed jsou objektifikov\u00e1ni. Alternativn\u00ed pohledy na sv\u011bt se st\u00e1vaj\u00ed mor\u00e1ln\u011b podez\u0159el\u00fdmi. Komplexita p\u016fsob\u00ed hroziv\u011b. Zachov\u00e1n\u00ed jistoty se st\u00e1v\u00e1 d\u016fle\u017eit\u011bj\u0161\u00edm ne\u017e hled\u00e1n\u00ed porozum\u011bn\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Zdrav\u011bj\u0161\u00ed budoucnost spirituality m\u016f\u017ee z\u00e1viset m\u00e9n\u011b na obhajob\u011b absolutn\u00edch syst\u00e9m\u016f a v\u00edce na rozv\u00edjen\u00ed existenci\u00e1ln\u00ed up\u0159\u00edmnosti, intelektu\u00e1ln\u00ed pokory, psychologick\u00e9 zralosti a otev\u0159enosti v\u016f\u010di \u0161\u00ed\u0159i lidsk\u00e9 zku\u0161enosti. C\u00edlem nen\u00ed relativismus, v n\u011bm\u017e na ni\u010dem nez\u00e1le\u017e\u00ed, ani rigidn\u00ed absolutismus, v n\u011bm\u017e je kladen\u00ed ot\u00e1zek zak\u00e1z\u00e1no. C\u00edlem je obt\u00ed\u017en\u00e1 pr\u00e1ce spo\u010d\u00edvaj\u00edc\u00ed v otev\u0159enosti v\u016f\u010di pravd\u011b, a\u0165 se objev\u00ed kdekoliv, a z\u00e1rove\u0148 odm\u00edt\u00e1n\u00ed syst\u00e9m\u016f, kter\u00e9 ke sv\u00e9mu udr\u017een\u00ed vy\u017eaduj\u00ed strach, dominanci, zradu sebe sama nebo dehumanizaci.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Teologie je \u010dasto prezentov\u00e1na jako otev\u0159en\u00e9 hled\u00e1n\u00ed pravdy, ale v praxi obvykle funguje jako obrana a zachov\u00e1n\u00ed ji\u017e p\u0159ijat\u00e9ho z\u00e1v\u011bru.
